| Detailed Job description | Key Responsibilities 1) Program Development: Create and optimize 2-axis to multi-axis CNC programs for lathes and turning centers using Mastercam software. 2) G-code/M-code Optimization: Write, edit, and troubleshoot G-code and M-code directly on Fanuc controllers to ensure efficient toolpaths. 3) Blueprint Analysis: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, 3D models, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to determine the best machining strategy. 4) Process Setup: Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, speeds, and feeds for various materials such as steel, aluminum, or titanium. 5) Prove-outs & Quality Control: Perform first-article inspections and program prove-outs at the machine, adjusting tool offsets and work offsets as needed for dimensional accuracy. 6) Process Improvement: Analyze cycle times and tool wear to reduce scrap and improve overall manufacturing efficiency. 7) Training & Support: Mentor CNC operators and setters on new program setups and safety procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications 1) Experience: Typically 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in CNC turning and Mastercam programming. 2) Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Fanuc control panels and manual G-code editing. 3) Software Skills: Strong proficiency in Mastercam (Lathe/Mill-Turn modules); familiarity with SolidWorks is often a plus. 4) Metrology: Skilled in using precision measuring tools like verniers, micrometers, dial gauges, and height gauges. 5) Education: A Diploma, ITI, or B.Tech/BE in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is generally required. 6) Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: Up to ₹45,000.00 per month Benefits: Food provided Provident Fund Ability to commute/relocate: Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred) Shift availability: Day Shift (Required) Night Shift (Required) |
